How do I cancel my car insurance policy?


If you do need to cancel your policy mid-term, this is easy to do via Live Chat.

Please be aware there may be a cancellation fee, as set out in Your Agreement with Esure Services limited.

To cancel your policy, just get in touch with a member of our team.

We can check your payment history and let you know if there's any outstanding balance, or if you will be entitled to a refund.


What do I do if I don't want to renew?

We're sorry to hear that you don't want to renew your policy with us.

If your policy is set to renew automatically and you’d like to change your preference, you can do this at any time. The quickest and easiest way to opt out of auto renewal is to log in to your Account using the button below, choose your policy and then ‘your auto renewal’ page.

If you want to discuss the auto renewal options or just want to cancel your policy, please get in touch by logging in to your Account and choosing live chat. We're available Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm, and Sunday 9am-2pm.

Please note that cancelling your Direct Debit will not automatically cancel your policy, please let us know if this is something you'd like to do. You can check whether you're on auto renewal or not by looking at your schedule, your renewal invitation, or in your online Account.
